Brief presentation of the project

The building, which bears the name of Shakespeare’s play, is the result of the rehabilitation and extension of a building dating from the 1960s.

The building complex contains almost exclusively offices; only on the top floors there are exclusive penthouse apartments.

The building, which is 65 m tall, consists of two interlaced towers, each with 16 and 19 floors respectively. It was designed by Max Dudler in Chicago School style. The present owner, IFM Immobilien AG, acquired the building in 2006.

Brief presentation of the EconAqua water mist sprinkler system

Providing fire protection for this building was a very challenging task: no more than 5 cm were available as clearance above the cooling ceilings in the offices.

EconAqua water mist sprinkler systems are particularly well suited for installations with little sprinkler coverage areas - of less than nine square meters - and very little installation space in ceilings. Due to its low water consumption of at most 1370 l/min, it was possible to equip each system the Romeo and Juliet Office Towers with an own full water supply.
